My parents – Vija and Andris – are celebrating 50th anniversary of their marriage, a Golden Wedding, 21st of December, 2018. My hope, dream and aim is to collect at least one greeting from each country in the world to celebrate this special occasion.
So, if you would like join in, here are 3 simple steps:
- Prepare a poster saying “Vija + Andris = 50❤️”
- Take a picture of this poster in a special place – famous, known for some love story or special for you.
- Post this picture in Instagram or Facebook adding:
- hashtag #greetingsfromeverycountry
- a geographical location (at least a country)
- a short story – what is this place and why it’s special
If you don’t have account in those social media, send me your picture and story by e-mail: [email protected], I will upload it for you.
You can be living or traveling in some country, both options are good. Just make a picture with a poster “Vija + Andris = 50❤️” – you can hold it or place it somewhere, like in the first greeting made by my Camino Santiago friend Shyam which it’s taken in Sri Lanka.
Or you can be in the picture as well (I’d love that) like my 2nd greeting which is coming from my originally couchsurfing friend, now friend, Sergei from London.
I will have a country list in my blog “backpack.lv” (see below) – the country which has sent a greeting will be marked bold. But, if your country is bold already but you feel like making a greeting – I will be happy to receive it! My biggest hope are my travel buddies and friends from all over the world but also future friends are welcome to join in!
At the end of the project I will collect all pictures and pass this beautiful collection to my parents! Thank you in advance!
